Planque presents the ceramic artworks of The Moorcock Inn's chef Alisdair Brooke-Taylor of @natural.ceramics
Alisdair’s objects and food elevate the art of dining while furthering the relationship to the environment. A philosophy of reuse and reduction that has a lot in common with natural and minimal intervention wines.
On the day of the event, Alisdair will discuss his creative process and approach to sourcing, from the use of food byproducts such as oyster shells and animal bones, to the raw materials gathered around the restaurant and on his travels, like sandstone and volcanic basalt.
During the tasting, Planque’s head sommelier James Lewis will guide the guests on an exploration of the unique connection between each wine and their terroir, while the kitchen will serve dishes from Alisdair’s West Yorkshire's restaurant menu.
On the occasion of London Craft Week, Alisdair’s work will be on display at Planque and available for purchase from the 9th-15th of May.
Starting from this summer our opening times are changing. From Tuesday 1st August onwards, our restaurant will be open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, and for lunch on Saturday as usual.
Our last day open before the holidays is Saturday 5th August. We will be back as usual from Tuesday 15th August.
